My Story
Srini Kumar is a SAG-E, Indian American TV / Film, Commercial, and Voiceover actress who is known for her work in award-winning indie films seen in Deadline, a network TV debut seen in Variety and New York Times, and blue-chip commercials (Google, Blue Apron).
Growing up across the US, India, and the UAE, performing was always Srini’s anchor in a new environment. Her global upbringing sparked her love of acting and accent work, and her multi-lingual proficiency in English, French, and Tamil.
Srini began acting in kindergarten and was scouted and signed for TV / Film by a premier LA agency in 8th grade. The Houston Mayor named September 22 “Girls Empowered through Arts Day” after the performing arts non-profit she started in high school. Srini graduated from NYU Stern School of Business and took acting classes at NYU Tisch. She was the commencement speaker at Madison Square Garden in front of 2,000 attendees.
After college, Srini pursued an illustrious corporate career on Wall Street and in Silicon Valley. On Wall Street, Srini was an investment banker covering M&A and capital markets, and was named one of the best analysts the group leadership had seen in 10 years. In Silicon Valley, she joined Coinbase pre-IPO leading global business development deals and was recognized by the C-Suite for her contribution to the business.

Srini left her corporate career to return to her lifelong passion of acting. In film, Srini is best known for her work in award-winning indie films (Skin by Urvashi Pathania — a psychological thriller, Baldy by Melvin Taylor — a comedy). Skin won the Silver Audience Award at Fantasia Film Festival, and was screened at Woodstock Film Festival, Tasveer Film Festival, and Santa Barbara International Film Festival. As seen in Deadline, Baldy won Best Cast at the Diversity in Cannes Film Festival and has screened at 20+ film festivals.
Srini’s TV debut was on Aram Rappaport’s The Network platform which received recognition from Variety and the New York Times. In the commercial world, Srini has found success with blue-chip companies such as Blue Apron, Google, and Novartis.
As exemplified by her roles in Skin, Baldy, and several commercials, Srini excels at playing charismatic young women with a strategic mind, calm confidence, and sharp sass, from grounded professionals, to polished social elites, to warm emotional anchors with quiet grit.
In her free time, Srini loves to exercise (Pilates, lifting, jump roping), cooking different cuisines, dance (Indian classical), and traveling.
